In person (max. 15) or virtual (max 12)
About The Workshop
It takes courage to behave inclusively and build an equitable culture! In Courageous Inclusion, we explore how seemingly small actions or words can accumulate and create exclusion.
These “Subtle Acts of Exclusion” (or microaggressions) show up in many ways through people’s behaviors or language. We’ll discuss how we can manage ourselves when we observe or experience an SAE and then how to address it appropriately. Through role play, you’ll cultivate skills to handle interpersonal interactions with confidence and compassion. With a growth-oriented approach, we can avoid the guilt and shame that create barriers to inclusion.
And the more we can normalize everyday conversations about IDE (inclusion, diversity and equity) topics, the more comfortable everyone becomes.
